About Turtle Island Imports Sarongs:
Sarongs are worn in a variety of ways. Wrap as a skirt, top, headpiece, scarf or shawl. They are not only the perfect beach wrap but they make a great tablecloth, wall hanging or curtain. The sarongs (also known as Pareos) we bring you come from Bali. We travel there annually to pick out the finest ones to add to our selection. Most of these beautiful designs are done by batik, applying wax to the fabric to resist the dye. The wax is then removed revealing the design. All are made from fast drying, breathable rayon and measure approximately 66" x 46", not including the fringe. They wash easily by hand or machine. Hang to dry. Wash separately the first time or two.

This sarong is good to wear in summer or autumn or anytime. But they might go well over shorts as skirts or around your neck as a scarf. We like to cover up from the sun when we go out in the daytime so a sarong sounds like extra coverage. We also got used to wearing sarongs and thought it would be a nice skirt over shorts in the summer with leggings under them. They might make a skirt over leggings just those. 4 stars because it’s antique style or rustic rather. Rustic is okay. Tex-Mex is cool. All of that’s cool. Ancient + modern’s city style so it’s good – we’re just so into modern art it’s ridiculous. Everyone hates modern stuff.
