Balinese Bamboo Flute

This is a simple bamboo flute, 16 to 24 inches long.   To play, notice that the mouthpiece end of the Balinese flute has two small openings, one on either side of the bamboo ring that encircles the end. To get a sound blow into the opening on the end. This is a small opening between the bamboo ring and main stem of the flute. Leave the other opening unobstructed. Be sure that your lips do not cover this opening.   For advanced play remove the bamboo ring on the end, blowing directly into the aperture.
